Kunal Purkayastha

Hi, I am Kunal (कुणाल/কুনাল) Purkayastha and I have persued my Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, India. I am affiliated with the Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition unit of the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, as a research intern. I am also enrolled in the Comprehensive and Holistic Advancement of National Knowledge Yield and Analytics (CHANAKYA) fellowship, an initiative under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS) of the Government of India. My interests lie in computer vision, large language models and image processing, mainly text spotting, medical image segmentation and document analysis.
